Who We Are

“We are going into a 3rd Generation, which is why FAMILY is so important, especially in this office. Our families are pretty close-knit. There’s always someone who picks up the phone here and always someone who can answer a question.”

ESTCO, Inc. founded in 1970 by Vietnam Veteran, Rick Taylor who paved the way as a new pioneer in the rubber parts industry with humble beginnings, big ambitions, and a dedication to service.

The company began small with a vision to convert a struggling west-coast division of Atlantic India Rubber company into a thriving family-owned business.

The name ESTCO derived from his name (“Eric Shram Taylor” COmpany), and created a legacy of the family-owned business in 1977, on Josh’s Birthday (October 7th) “It was meant to be!” says Judy Taylor, original co-founder of ESTCO.

“Rick and I pretty much spent our weekends in the humble beginnings clipping grommets - we lived in Palos Verdes, working on the weekends on a little tiny patio when we first started. My husband Rick used to bring home parts and spent our time as a family to provide what the customers needed. if the customers wanted them cut, with clippers, we split grommets!” - Judy Taylor, Co-Founder

Soon after uprooting the family from the midwest to the west coast,  the Taylors spent long hours, with dedicated tenacity to grow their client base and offer an array of service as the very highest measurable standard, a family-owned company legacy began! started as a scant company.

50 Years & Counting

Half a century later, the family kept their doors open on the same mission to "do what it takes" as their slogan for superb customer service.

The company evolved over the years, resilient through the changing times and economies. From rubber grommets being cut in the family room at their home, to working with some of the largest fortune 100 companies.

Like Rick, Josh was tenacious and took over an existing business and kept it thriving. He also helped update ESTCO with current innovations and thinking outside of the box.

Josh graduated from college and was offered a few different jobs in Finance. Rick was thrilled when Josh decided to enter the family business at the last minute. Josh has now been here for over 20 years and counting.

There are so few family businesses left that have survived after the pandemic. Josh has given it his all, including finding other avenues of revenue. Our original business is doing well, but we have also expanded into PPE, medical, warehousing and fulfillment and consumer-driven products and materials.

The ESTCO TeAM

JOSH TAYLOR

President, CEO

When people ask me, “what do you do, Josh” - I jokingly say “I sell rubber parts” and for a large portion of my career here, that was 100% true. ESTCO is more than just rubber parts. We transitioned in 2020 to sell PPE equipment for large entities and also moved in the Government Sector, getting awarded several contracts for the State of California.

I’ve essentially worked at this company my entire life.  My journey with ESTCO began early on when I was a child helping my father and mother.  I remember being a kid and splitting grommets on the floor in my bedroom with scissors, individually cutting them for manufacturers.

My father started the company when he returned from Vietnam as a US Marine Captain in 1970. My Grandfather gave him his first job at Atlantic India Rubber, and there was a need to fulfill distribution of parts on the West Coast.

After college I came back from school at SMU in Dallas to work here at ESTCO.  Spending what seemed like half of my time in the warehouse and the other half of my time in my dad's office learning everything about the business from every possible angle. I took over the company full time in 2008. I’m very proud to have made the choice to do this with him instead of being a stock broker after my internship at Morgan Stanley back in Dallas.

This idea of family has translated through each of our team members. Everyone who works on this team is someone I want to work with until we all retire together. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about how special this group is starts with the dedication that everyone has to their job. I can honestly say that each member possesses top qualities of trustworthiness, reliability, and willingness to create an environment in the workplace as friends.

This shows our customers how committed we are to excellence, doing whatever it takes to get the job done, and working through all of the challenges without hesitation to get what they need.

My hope for the future of ESTCO is all about LEGACY, and to pass this company to the next and third generation. If my son has his eye set out for it, it’s so important to create a successful business for him just as my father has left for me.

Judy Taylor

Co-Founder & Chairman of the board

The beginning of ESTCO was rather scant.

I can remember working through the weekends and nights to clip grommets. My husband, Rick, and I spent our time preparing orders over the weekend and shipping them out by Monday morning. As basic as things were, my husband and I created this business to serve each of our customers with whatever they needed with rubber molded parts.

The original business that my husband, Rick, has established still stands, but with the evolution of times and needs, Josh has led the team and the business through challenges, changes in the times, and is ready to go beyond for the next generation with his adaptability, flexibility and innovation. There are so few family businesses, especially after the pandemic, who have survived. Josh, my son, has given it his all to take our family business to new heights.

We incorporated ESTCO- (Eric Shram Taylor Company)  on October 7th, 1977 - also Josh’s birthday- It was meant to be! This company would thrive with him and we are looking forward to supporting Rick’s legacy with our third generation soon to come!

Cindy Cargill
Vice President

I am so happy to be working at ESTCO Enterprises. This is a very unique and exciting place to be. Our president, Josh, is always so passionate and motivated and continues to expand ESTCO in many exciting directions.

We expect everyone to contribute to our growth with new ideas and suggestions and appreciate all viewpoints. It is exciting to be a part of this team and seeing how much the company has progressed in a few short years. When Josh gave me my first review after joining the company in 2017, he said, “I might have 5 Huskies, but I think I have found my Pitbull to help run the company.”

My position with the company as Office Manager / Quality Manager has me working with our top customers, Purchasing, AP/AR, Human Resources and maintaining our strict ISO 9001:2015 Quality System.

I am proud of every employee that works here. There is a sense of family here and we will all do what is needed to help get a job done. Everyone will help one another – no matter which department you are in.

Teamwork!

Rick, and now Josh, have created and maintained a company that employees like to come to work and do their best every day, and have retained a large customer base, many who have been with us since the beginning.

STEVE LOTHSPEICH
NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

“It’s not always a party here but it sure feels like it sometimes!”

I wear many hats at ESTCO: Sales, managerial, customer service, engineering, etc. However, the most important one is the "whatever it takes to get it done" hat.

ESTCO is a family based small business built on customer relationships. We are busy but we make sure the customer doesn't get lost in the shuffle. We want to make sure that our customers get the attention they deserve.

As a team, we have thrived over the years and have been able to stay in business for over 50 years due to our ability to adapt to the always changing business landscape. What started off as a basic rubber parts business has evolved into a full service company. We supply basic rubber parts, build custom tooled parts, fill government contracts and even do 3PL. Since the pandemic started we have also added a safety division to address the growing need for PPE among our customer base.

The Future of ESTCO is exciting because we are entering uncharted territories of business. This is a huge opportunity for ESTCO to showcase its products and stellar customer service. We have the people, the relationships, and the skills to make the most of all new opportunities that come our way.

MONICA GOSS
Office Administrator

For over a decade, I’ve been working with the team at ESTCO Enterprises as the person to help both the customers and the team. I’m very proud to work here among such a great group of people and what we do for each other.

I love the family orientation of this company- we all share our thoughts, ideas, and communicate openly to provide one another a sense of teamwork and whatever it takes to make the customers happy.

As a fellow Siberian husky parent, I fit right in with the ETSCO family, especially when the place is packed with the Taylor’s dogs and mine! One of the best moments is when we are on the phone, our huskies howl as a pack.

What we do best is create repeat customers- giving them exactly what they need, at fantastic prices, while being real people, not robots, to create a personal experience for each and everyone person we talk with.

ROLANDO REYES
Shipping Supervisor

Our worldwide customer base has a variety of needs for both shipping and logistics. I  enjoy packing the orders specifically for each customer to take a personalized approach, especially if they have unique requests and requirements. As an employee of ESTCO enterprises, I take a sense of pride in making each order “pretty” and I know that when they open the boxes, they get a feel that it was made just for them.

Everyday, you can find me in the large warehouse working to manage shipping and receiving for all products. I started here as a temp employee in 2005, and within 6 months, I was offered the position- and years later, I still enjoy my job here!

Working for a company this long was sort of a shock, I would have never imagined staying from my temp job and having such a large part of this group of people. Our family atmosphere is beyond what I’ve seen in any other company I know of.

Through my time here, I have seen lots of sheer determination from each team member. During the pandemic everyone was on board to do whatever it took to keep ESTCO going. We all share a sense of pride to keep ESTCO on top and not failing to deliver on our promises to customers that were facing the same challenges.

Since the moment I started working at ESTCO the owners have treated me like one of their family. They have helped me transform my life and that makes me proud to be a member of the ESTCO family!

Josh Brashier
Fulfillment

My role at ESTCO Enterprises falls under the ‘order fulfillment’ department and as most of our team members here share: providing customer service. In other words, I am the human interface between the customer and their product orders!

I began my journey as the “second Josh” at ESTCO since November 2021 and my mission is to streamline shipping services and warehouse inventory management.

ESTCO has been onboarding new companies to the fulfillment side of the business, and while this has been exciting,  the biggest challenge is to make room for everything incoming while simultaneously providing for the duties of existing customers.

The family aspect is indeed unique and perhaps unusual among companies that operate today.  But, I have noticed that it extends out to our customers - starting with how the staff take care of each other, and goes beyond with a level of care and professionalism to our customers.

Rebecca Taylor
Marketing

When you think of “vision” and “identity”- ESTCO has been incredibly innovative over the years.

This family business means so much, to not only the Taylors, but to everyone on this page.

I can remember when I first learned about the company, one of the very first dates with my now husband, Josh, and getting to learn about this incredible family-owned company. It was like a place that immediately felt like “home”, meeting my now in-laws and all of the people that show up to work every day for this place who also became family to me.

As an interior designer, visionary, and knowing how to host some pretty extravagant celebrations, upleveling the overall company culture for ESTCO.

From demolishing a majority of our warehouses to transform the space to reflect the hard work and achievement that each and everyone has dedicated for this place. I feel accomplished and nostalgic when I  walk into these spaces and how it creates a feeling of pride for  everyone here as well.

You may also notice my work contributing to showcasing our Taylor family “history” in our marketing communications and outreach that is part of helping our customers, our followers, and our surrounding community really understand where we came from and who we are after 5 decades - it’s so important to hear and share these stories.

As the wife of President, Josh, and mother of our third generation, ESTCO wouldn’t be where it is today without this family- I’m so proud to be part of it!

KARAN BRADY
Board Member & company accountant

I joined the ESTCO team in January of 1988 when Rick decided to automate his accounting process.  After purchasing his first UNIX computer system, I was hired to help him set up the new accounting software.

Once the system was up and running, I became Rick’s go-to person for the roles of accounting, administration, and HR. I helped him navigate his way through the many changes that were taking place in the business world, such as the implementation of bar coding, increasing HR and payroll regulations, and the general shift from hand-shake deals to formal written contracts.

When the company’s previous accountant retired in 2014, I became ESTCO’s new accountant and also joined the Board of Directors. Over my more than 3 decades with the company, I’ve seen the team grow from just a two-person office with everything done by hand, to an office of over 10 people that is built for efficiency and productivity.

I am so proud of all that Josh has accomplished. He has continued his father’s legacy, expanded the business to include new products, and has made sure that ESTCO, a company with a history of more than fifty years, continues to thrive.

Corinne Lupi
Government Sales

I first began working with ESTCO around 2020 to support ESTCO on new endeavors with Government Sales.

Customer Service is always at top of our priority - Our customers are the most important part of our company. We work very hard to supply everything requested in a timely manner.

My aim is to work with all of our suppliers to achieve the best possible price on any and all items the State and Federal Government Offices require.

We go above and beyond to always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers with the relationships we have.

ESTCO currently holds the CMAS Contract, which we acquired in January of 2022, which we found is very helpful for the State offices of California.

Josh has formed a team atmosphere that is rare. I am very fortunate to work for such an honest, hard working company.

Working for ESTCO has opened my eyes to new opportunities, and a wonderful experience.

I can’t say enough about Josh Taylor and the staff. It’s incredibly great working with such knowledgeable people that care about the company, customers, and the vendors we partner with!

KARAN BRADY
CFO & Board Member

I joined ESTCO back when Rick had one person working for him and they had just purchased a computer and accounting software for $25,000!

Not knowing anything about computers (as they just came out!) he hired me to help set up the software and help get the systems in order.

At the time when telephone services was deregulated, I was working for a telecommunications company in accounting and decided to go out on my own with a program that would allow me to consult with clients around this.

Rick was my very first client and every Friday, for four hours in the morning, we went through 10,000 inventoried parts and all of the orders to convert the handwritten process into digital.

When I first met Josh, he was 13 years old coming to work with his dad, and today, he has proven that his goals and big deals inspire us to do what we do for the long-run.

I’ve been doing cash accounting every week since then for the last 34 years for ESTCO Enterprises, making sure every employee gets paid, the customers are taken care of, and that our books were balanced.

Im excited that we have completely onboarded our system to Quickbooks, but what I’m looking forward to most is Josh realizing his dreams. Anything that he needs and wants to achieve, I’m there for him and we work really well together!
